Dress Code Policy

Girls' Basic Standardized Clothing

The basic uniform clothing for girls at Gateway shall consist of a long or short-sleeved navy blue, white, red,
grey or black shirt, such as a polo, oxford or dress shirt, with navy blue or khaki (tan) skirt, walking shorts, slacks,
skorts, or jumper. The skirt, shorts, slacks, skorts, and jumpers may be dark blue denim, corduroy or twill fabric. A
small less than 1" logo is acceptable.

Boys' Basic Standardized Clothing

The basic uniform clothing for boys at Gateway shall consist of a long or short-sleeved navy blue, white, red,
grey or black shirt, such as a polo, oxford or dress shirt, with navy blue or khaki (tan) walking shorts or long pants.
The shorts and pants may be dark blue denim, corduroy or twill fabric. A small less tan 1" logo is acceptable.

School T-Shirts

School T-shirts may be worn on Fridays only. T-shirts will be available for purchase at the school.

Appropriate Sizes and Weather Conditions

Students shall wear clothing of appropriate size and outer wear that reflects weather condition as determined
by the Principal/designee. As such, the size of shirts, pants and outer wear shall be appropriate to the student's body
size and shall not be unduly oversized or undersized.

Shirts and Belts

Shirts shall be tucked into the waistband of the pants or shirt. Belts must be worn when the item of clothing
has belt loops. Exceptions will be allowed in individual cases upon the discretion of the Principal/designee.

Skirts, Shorts and Dresses

The hem of the skirt, short or dress shall be no shorter than the mid-thigh as determined by the Principal/
designee.

Shoes/Footwear

All students shall wear shoes/footwear. High school student may wear sandals with back straps provided they
don't interfere with the safety and welfare of the student. Platforms and shoes with wheels may not be worn. Flip flops
are unacceptable.
