Public Informational Meeting Schedule
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme provides highly motivated students with the opportunity to pursue a rigorous high school course of study. While in the Pre-Diploma (grades 9 & 10) and IB (grades 11 & 12) programs, students will be enrolled in four levels of English, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, and five levels of Foreign Language. A sixth subject area in art, music, theatre or any other IB elective will also be available for students.
Students who earn the IB diploma qualify for the Florida Academic Scholars Award (FAS) of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program, which provides a large percentage of tuition at Florida public institutions regardless of GPA and SAT/ACT scores.
Students enrolled in the Pre-Diploma and IB Programs are encouraged to participate in athletics, clubs, and other extracurricular activities.
The Gateway High School IB Program features Academic Coaching, Dedicated Classes and IB Trained Teachers. An IB Guidance Counselor provides assistance to the Freshmen with the transition to a large high school setting. Guidance services are continued in the upper levels to assist with career choices, college admittance, community service and study skills.
