Principals Message

Students in class, teachers teaching. This statement forms the basis of the organizational structure and operation of Gateway High School.

First and foremost are the students of GHS. An education in academics, personal growth, relationship building, respect, obedience, and trust are a few of the reasons the students are in school. Students are asked to come to school willing to learn and to participate in the classroom experience.

To help students be successful, we employ professionals with many different academic skills, but the most instrumental player of all is the teacher. Teachers have the awesome responsibility of making sure your child learns and achieves their benchmarks for their grade level. Inside their classrooms, they instruct, guide, mentor and challenge each and every student. The rest of the school team is here to facilitate, protect, and safeguard the environment so that little disturbs this teacher/student experience.

The instructional process requires the participation of the student, teacher, school, parents and community. I invite you to get involved to make a difference in your educational experience. Parents and students are invited to participate in the monthly School Advisory Council meetings to assist administration in setting goals for the school.
